Indian spin legend Bishan Singh Bedi passes away

The great Indian spin legend Bishan Singh Bedi is no more, as per reports Bishan Singh Bedi died at the age of 77 after a prolonged illness.

The left arm spinner Bishan Singh Bedi is one of the pillars of Indian spin bowling, the legend was also the captain of the Indian team in 22 matches. Bishen Singh Bedi played active cricket from 1967 to 1979. Bishen Singh Bedi played 67 Tests, took 266 wickets and played 10 one day international and took 7 wickets. Bisen Singh Bedi along with Erapalli Prasanna, BS Chandrasekhar, and S. Venkataraghavan revolutionised the Indian bowling scene with their brilliant spin bowling.

After retirement Bishen Singh Bedi worked as a coach and mentor for several upcoming Indian cricketers. Bedi also worked as a commentator.
