Thamma review: Diwali Mein Halloween Ka Feel Doogein, Kitna Khoon Piyoge
‘Thamma’ – the romantic horror comedy by Aditya Sarpotdar marking the fifth installment in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe and Ayushmann Khurrana’s first big festival Diwali ticket is ambitious but uneven, uninspiring, heartless and soulless vampire encounter.
‘Thamma’ movie synopsis
Begins during the time when Alexander visited India and Yakshasan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) a betaal (vampire, Dracula) drinks Alexander’s blood. Cut to present time a sort of darpok reporter Alok (Ayushmann Khurrana) enters the jungle with his two companions, and Alok gets lost in the jungle, he gets attacked by a bear and Tadaka (Rashmika Mandanna) the lady betaal from that clan saves Alok. Alok falls in love with Tadaka and what happens when Tadaka too develops the same feeling for Alok. What happened to Yakshashan, and what will happen to Alok, Tadaka?.
Produced by Maddock Films and distributed by PVR Inox Pictures in India and Yash Raj Films Internationally, ‘Thamma’ is rated 16+ and has a run time of 149 minutes.
