Champions – the reported Hindi remake of the Spanish film Campeones in which Salman Khan was supposed to play a part in Aamir Khan’s ambitious film in which he is behind the creatives.

The latest report is that Salman Khan has opted out from Aamir Khan’s ambitious project.

A source on condition of anonymity informs that, “ “Salman Khan was very much interested in doing Campeones remake. However, there were certain date issues which arose, due to which the actor had to back out of the venture.”

But the good news is that, the source adds further and says Aamir Khan has now approached Ranbir Kapoor. “Ranbir has never really done a sports drama, it will be interesting to see Ranbir in a new avatar”, the source concluded.

Champions is an official remake of the Spanish film Campeones and is directed by RS Prasanna with AKP bankrolling the venture. Expected to release in 2024.
