Dhurandhar: The Revenge trailer review - pure fireworks on play – gritty action galore, guns, grenades and gallons of guts
‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ reintroduces Ranveer Singh – as Jaskirat Singh Rangi – tracing the chain of events that compelled him to become Hamza Ali Mazari – the brute force who unleashes the wrath on the mecca of Gangsters in Karachi – Lyari, there by becoming the leader after eliminating their deadly messiah, Rehman Dacait.
The trailer is pure fireworks on play – gritty action galore, guns, grenades and gallons of guts on display. Ranveer is torn between the fiery montages of his past, i.e., Jaskirat, and his present, ie, Hamza.
In the unrelenting 3 minutes and 20 secs, you get to see a tense R Madhavan stressing on the 3 pillars - Hausla, Eendhan and Badla, and Arjun Rampal’s Major Iqbal swearing to punish the infiltrator.
Pain Makes the Man, says Sanjay Dutt’s SP Chaudhary Aslam with an invigorating line like, Jahaan Dard hai, wahan Mard Hai. We also get to see the funny man Jameel Jamali, played by the infinitely talented Rakesh Bedi, praising Zarwari Saab’s Buttocks, oops Bataks.
Lyari is pretty much in bad shape and gripped in fear that is summed in Uzair Baloch’s facial countenance – Danish Iqbal appears in a single frame and so does Sara Arjun.
The makers are however tight-lipped about Bade Saab – the trailer doesn’t hint on any movement in the narrative. There are no shockers. Aditya Dhar and his team have curated a trailer that falls under a predictable terrain but have packed it with ruins and relentless rampage.
