Exclusive – Emergency: Who made Kangana Ranaut wait for two days during shoot?!, unbelievable but true, details inside!!

Kangna Ranaut the exceptional actress, the strong-willed, superstar of Indian cinema, the recipient of Padma Shri, was made to wait for not hours but days during the shooting of her ambitious and most awaited Emergency.

Unbelievable!!, but true, Kangana Ranaut was made to wait for two days by someone for shooting an important scene for Emergency.

The story goes like this…

According to a source present during the shoot from the unit who has requested anonymity, Kangana Ranaut had scheduled an important shoot in the remote interiors of Assam for her upcoming movie Emergency.

A place amidst the rich jungle called Garam Pani (a small town in Assam famous for Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary) near Kaziranga National Park.

The scene involved Kangana Ranaut as former Prime Minister of India - Indira Gandhi, Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan, few locals and some extras as villagers. An important scene was about to be shot in which Kangana as PM Indira Gandhi visits the ailing Jayaprakash Narayan played by Anupam Kher.

Saddened by the condition of Jayaprakash Narayan worsening day by day, Indira played by Kangana leaves in sorrow, a couple follows the PM pleading.

The couple from the nearby village informs the PM that they are starving and not eaten for days. Indira asked them the name of their village and they say it’s Belchhi ( a historically important village in Bihar state during that period).

PM Indira decides to pay a visit to the troubled village and her small convoy - her car and a car following her that has the village couple and a journalist get stopped at the jungle border by the forest department.

Indira didn’t have the permission to enter.

Ok fine, you must be wondering who made Kangana wait, things appear to be going smoothly here.

Here comes the catch.

When Indira’s car was stopped by the forest department, an elephant was called on which she sat and visited Belchii which was reeling under the horror of a caste based violence/backlash.

So, for enacting the same scene, an elephant was required on which Kangana will sit and visit the village.

For reasons better known to the female elephant who was supposed to be present on set on the scheduled day, didn’t turn up making the unit wait for two days, informs the source.

But in a rarest of rare quality seen in superstars, Kangana Ranaut wasn’t upset, the actress turned filmmaker showed great patience and waited for two days for Beenu (the name of the female elephant to arrive on set).

The source further adds that since an elephant cannot be transported easily by a vehicle, it took around two days for Beenu to appear on the sets with her caretaker.

The shoot which would have been completed in two days, took around a week to complete.

But as said earlier, Kangana kept her calm as she knew the importance of that scene that is an essential chapter in her character as former PM Indira Gandhi.

Proper arrangements were made for the unit to stay in a hotel which was actually a run of around 2and a half to three hours from shooting location.

We had heard of star tantrums, but here a lady elephant by the name Beenu for some reason took two extra days to report on sets made a superstar like Kangana wait.

But Kangana Ranaut the outspoken superstar showed tremendous resolve as she is not just an actress in Emergency; she is the creator, the producer and the director as well.

With great power comes great responsibility!!, what say…

Stay tuned for more updates.
