Adipurush v/s The Flash : will Batman, Supergirl beat Prabhas as Lord Rama at Indian box office.
On June 16, 2023 India will see a unique clash between a real superhero – a God – ‘Adipurush’ and a fictional superhero – ‘The Flash’.
Today Warner bros released the latest trailer of its super ambitious ‘The Flash’ – the American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen / The Flash and has Michael Keaton reprising his role as Batman in a cameo alongside Sasha Calle as Supergirl.
The FalThe trailer sees Batman getting emotional, Supergirl having something special and it is likely that Ben Affleck may also make an appearance refreshing the memories of the Dark Knight. Reportedly Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman is also expected to spin in a surprise.
It will be very interesting to see how History (many will say mythology) about a Hindu God – Lord Rama like Adipurish will face the sci fi fiction of manmade superheroes like the Flash on June 16, 2023.
Adipurush – is the story of Lord Rama which is known to almost every Indian worldwide. Told in motion capture animation Adipurush stars the pan India superstar Prabhas. The story of Lord Rama which is now proven as history that happened around 7,000 years about the King of Ayodhya Lord Rama – Prabhu Shri Ram.
Lord Rama travelled to the island of Lanka with the help of the deity Hanuman's army with an aim to rescue his wife Sita, who has been abducted by Ravana - the demon king of Lanka – powerful and very intelligent.
So, a unique bouquet of various genre will be at store at the Indian box office on the release date of Adipurush and The Flash. History, mythology against science fiction, God v/s Superhero…
Touted as the most expansive Indian film till date the budget of Adipurush is 550 crores.
While the budget of The Flash is much much beyond its 200 million (that means around an unbelievable around 2000 crores).
India is just another big territory for the world giants like Warner Bros and DC.
But we are talking about The Flash prospects in India, it may become a phenomenon around the west and rest of Asia.
It is important because many times Hollywood has taken over Bollywood. Fast and Furious, Spider Man is just a couple of examples which ahs seen people from the two tier, three tier regions in India flocking to the theatres to watch the dubbed versions of Hollywood popular superhero movies and franchises.
The Flash is coming in multiple languages in India – English, Hindi, Tamil Telugu.
Reportedly Adipurush makers are planning to release their ambitious film in fifteen languages that includes both domestic and international - Chinese, Japanese etc.
Has warner done a blunder releasing The Flash in India on the same date when Adipurush is releasing? They could have come earlier or later considering that fact like The Flash is not popular like Batman, Superman, Spider Man, Thor, Captain America etc. While Lord Rama is an every day phenomenon in India especially North India.
Studios like Warner, DC have a global presence, India is good market which is increasing day by day, I think the believer and non-believer factor will play a crucial role here.
Non-Hindus, atheist and lovers of DC and Batman in India may favour The Flash.
There is no comparison between the divine Indian God - Lord Rama and The Flash.
Lord Rama is all about valour, virtues, goodness, greatness, a never-ending lesson on how a human should live his life as a responsible son, father, brother, statesman etc. a real proven super hero, it’s makes you proud, its rich in values, and it’s an never ending enlightening phenomenon for every India, every human.
The Flash is a fictional superhero and it must be recalled that Ramayana and Bhagwad Gita are the greatest epics on earth that has provided source materials to some of the most popular super heroes like Superman, Thor etc.
So, this time Indian content will give Hollywood a tough time. Batman, Supergirl in The Flash may find it very tough to beat Prabhas as Lord Rama at the Indian box office.
