Govardhan Asrani, aka Asrani aka the ‘angrezo ke zamane eke jailor’ was an artiste par excellence, though his popularity got stereotyped as the iconic jailor from the evergreen Indian cult western spaghetti ‘Sholay’, Asrani was a true artiste an ambitious filmmaker and a good singer as well.
Asrani as a singer is not much talked about, popularly known for his comic roles, unique style and dialogue delivery, Asrani was a natural singer and he has sung a couple of songs as well in films.
