Renowned Santoor mastero, Indian music composer had passed away in Mumbai. He was 84.

Pandit Shivkumar Sharma fondly called as Panditji was suffering from kidney-related issues for the last six months and was on dialysis. Panditji passed away due to cardiac arrest.

Pandit Shivkumar Sharma is credited to give Santoor - a classical status and the mastero was an expert in sitar and sarod as well.

Pandit Shivkumar Sharma formed a great music pair with renowned flute mastero Hari Prasad Chaurasia and composed those unforgettable numbers in the movie Silsila, Lamhe, Chandni etc.
