Those were the days when “Yehh dekh ke dil jhumma” from Kashmir Ki Kali instantly reminded of Shammi Kapoor and the great Rafi Sahaab – India’s greatest playback singer Mohammed Rafi.
Similarly “Awara Hoon”, “Kisi ki muskurahatoh pe ho nisar” by Mukesh reminded of the showman Raj Kapoor. The times when playback singers were the voice of the actors/stars.
But here today on the 42nd death anniversary of the great Mohammad Rafi, we look at the melodious songs Rafi sahaab sang for Raj Kapoor.
