This week in theatres and Ott :  Amitabh, Madhuri, Salman, Chiranjeevi

This week on Friday i.e 7th October 2022 we have the list of movies and series to be released.

1) Goodbye ( Genre : Family Drama) :
 
Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, who turns 80 on the 11th of this month,  and Pushpa actress Rashmika Mandanna’s family drama Goodbye is helmed by Vikas Bahl under Ektaa Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Good Co.Marking Mandanna's Bollywood debut, it will be the first film to adopt the reduced pricing policy of Rs 150 per ticket on its opening day, the makers of the film had said in a press statement. The film also features Neena Gupta, Sunil Grover, Pavail Gulati, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elli AvrRam, Sahil Mehta and Shivin Narang.

2) Maja Ma ( Genre : Family Drama)
 
The heartwarming family drama featuring Madhuri Dixit and Gajrao Rao in key roles is directed by Anand Tiwari. Madhuri plays Pallavi Patel, a dutiful housewife and doting mother in this Amazon Prime movie that starts streaming from 6th October 2022.

3) Catherine Named Birdy( Genre : Period, Comedy)
 
In medieval England, the daughter of a financially destitute Lord thwarts her father's plans to marry her off to a wealthy suitor. When the most vile suitor arrives, her parent's love for her is tested.
 
The year is 1290. In the Medieval English village of Stonebridge, Lady Catherine (known as Birdy, played by Bella Ramsey) is the youngest child of Lord Rollo and Lady Aislinn. Her playground is Stonebridge Manor, a house that, like the family, has seen better days. Financially destitute and utterly greedy, Rollo sees his daughter as his path out of financial ruin by marrying her off to a wealthy man for money and land. But Birdy, like all the great teen heroines, is spirited, clever and adventurous –and ready to put off any suitor that comes in increasingly ingenious ways. Her imagination, defiance and deep belief in her own right to independence put her on a collision course with her parents. When the most vile suitor of all arrives, they are presented with the ultimate test of love for their daughter. The film streams on Amazon Prime Video from 7th October 2022.

4) Godfather ( Genre : Action, Drama):
 
With Megastar Chiranjeevi and superstar Salman Khan sharing the screen space for the first time, Godfather, the remake of the Malayalam superhit Lucifer hits the theaters on 5th October 2002. When the supreme leader of the ruling party dies, leaving a huge vacuum, not only in the electoral and leadership sphere of the party but also that of the state, the separates good and bad becomes irrecoverably blurred. There is a fight for his successor. Directed by Mohan Raja, Godfather also stars Nayanthara, Puri Jagannadh and Satya Dev in key roles.

5) Nazar Andaaz : ( Genre : Comedy, Drama) :
 
Blind since birth, 55-year-old kind-hearted Sudhir lives alone with his lazy and trickster house maid Bhavani. While Bhavani is out, Sudhir takes in a street thief named Ali to help around the house. Both Bhavani and Ali grow envious of each other and realize that they both have their eyes set on Sudhir`s wealth but Sudhir has other plans for both which they are unaware of and sets on a journey to help the unpolished gems find their purpose in life. Written and directed by Laxman Utekar, Nazar Andaaz stars Kumud Mishra, Abhishek Banerjee and Divya Dutta in lead roles. It will be released in theatres on 7th October 2022.

6) Eesho ( Genre : Crime, Thriller)
 
While working the night at an ATM, a security guard, Ramachandran Pillai (Jaffer Idukki) who is the prime witness in the case against a powerful industrialist, Sevichan (Suresh Krishna) happens to come across a mysterious man named Eesho (Jayasurya). They engage in a conversation and the guard pours his heart out to the stranger before realising that Eesho may not be a friend. Who is Eesho and what does he want? The Malayalam film made by Nadir Shah is streaming on Sony LIV from 5th October 2022. 
 
Apart from this, Laal Singh Chaddha( Netflix), Raksha Bandhan( Zee5) and Karthikeya 2(Zee 5) are also streaming on OTT.
