Performances

Amazon Prime Video

Vikram steals the show. Vikram is excels and gives almost everything he has to bring his character Gandhi Mahaan alive and connected with the audience. His unique subtle mannerisms and his own body language and tone make Mahaan one of his greatest performance.

Dhruv Vikram is outstanding in his intense portrayal. Dhruv ups the intensity quotient in his no-nonsense approach of a young man burning with revenge. The twisted angry young man Dhruv Vikram is as force to reckon with for sure.

Bobby Simha is excellent as Sathyavan and Sananth as Rocky is fantastic.

Vettai Muthukumar as Gnanam is fabulous.

Aadukalam Naren as Mohandoss, Gandhi Mahaan's father has his moments.

Simran as Nachi is very natural.

Mahaan Flaws and Final Words

Technicalities

Shreyaas Krishna's cinematography captures the mood, era beautifully and its captivating.

Santhosh Narayanan's background score is atmospheric.

Flaws

The philosophy is mixed but not blended with perfection. The narration is slow burning and takes its own time. At places people just connect as per the convenience of the makers.

Final words

Mahaan has that Shakti (power) an engaging crime drama with an excellent Vikram in top form and Dhruv Vikram matching up with an outstanding portrayal in Karthik Subbaraj’s entertaining, engaging and intense crime action drama.
