Amazon miniTV – Amazon’s free video streaming service, recently launched its much-awaited masaledaar dating reality show Datebaazi. Created by Frames Productions, the unscripted show sees popular actor Rithvik Dhanjani as the host. He introduces individuals eager to make a good impression and woo their prospective dating partner, but that’s where the uniqueness of Datebaazi comes to the fore. With the launch of his first OTT reality show as a host, Rithvik, shares his thoughts on how this show is different.
Talking about the essence of Datebaazi, Rithvik Dhanjani said, “Datebaazi is very different from the other unscripted shows as its foundation is both fresh and true. Think of the GenZ dating game as it is in the present day: left swipe, right swipe. You have a lot of power because you can decide what you want, how you want, what you like and don't like, and everything else. Imagine that this is your power, and that I were to take it away from you and give it to your parents, leaving you powerless. Your parents currently hold the reins of power and you're essentially begging and pleading with them to pick the best option for you. This is extremely amusing because do the parents know their children or do they believe they do? And it's also a lot of fun, which is what makes this show so special.”
Created by Frames Productions, Datebaazi revolves around describing the prospective Datebaaz keen to win over their potential romantic interest and make a good impression. There is, however, an exciting twist! One must first leave a positive impression on their date's parents before impressing their date. Based on the details they provide about themselves; parents have the chance to select three prospective dates for their child during this whole procedure.
Datebaazi is streaming for free on Amazon miniTV within the Amazon Shopping App and on Fire TV.
