Jaane Jaan trailer is out and Kareena Kapoor Khan in her OTT debut plays the mysterious ‘hot neighbour’ – a murder suspect who has two admirers in the investigating cop played by Vijay Varma and her silent admirer – a martial arts expert played by Jaideep Ahlawat.

Based on the bestselling mystery novel The Devotion of Suspect X, the film is directed by Sujoy Ghosh and also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma in supporting roles, and will be released on September 21, 2023 on Netflix.

The Devotion of Suspect X is the inspiration behind the phenomenal multilingual franchise Drishyam that starred Mohanlal in its original version Malayalam, Kamal Hassan in its Tamil remake with a different name – Paapnasam, Ajay Devgn in its Hindi version.

Drishyam was also remade in Kannada as Drishya, Drushyam in Telugu plus in other international languages as well.

Set in the hill station of Kalimpong in West Bengal, Jaane Jaan is the story of Maya D’ Souza seems to be hiding something and her neighbour Naren ( Jaideep Ahlawat) feels she is hiding something. A murder takes place and Vijay Varma as Karan the cop investigates the case.
