Sixer, helmed by TVF Creations and directed by Chaitanya Kumbhakonum is about Nikku(played by Shivankit Singh Parihar) , a slacker who is a killer tennis-ball cricket enthusiast from Vijay Nagar, Indore and aspires to represent the sports in its right spirit.
In a bid to absorb more money and better prospects, Nikku disowns his own team, Vijay Nagar Vijetas and is lured by the rival team but little does he know about the underlying politics.
The 6 episode sees Nikku and his friend, Arshad's dilemmas in the light of their aspirations and passion for the game. Cricket is probably the first love of every Indian youth and Sixer is an honest attempt at those who liked to be pulled by the strings of emotions, ecstacy and entertainment associated with the game. Chaitanya creates a raw and crude world which instantly connects with the viewer.
At one end, Sixer throws the perspective of triumph of an underdog and the local team against all odds and on the other, it takes an incisive look at the dirty politics which ruins every good aspect. With its uniquely designed content, the narrative keeps you engrossed for most of its run time but also gets into tedium as each of the episodes stretch over 40 minutes.
The complete cast of the series includes Badri Chavan as Aussie, Rahul Tewari as Alok, Karishma Singh as Gargi, Brij Bhushan Shukla as Rajesh Bhaiya, Vaibhav Shukla as Deepak, Puneet Batra as Gopwani, Prashant Singh as Anant Pratap Singh, Suraj Rikame as Arshad, Anandeshwar Dwivedi as Nagu bhaiya, Vivaan Karan as Gulli, Aparajita Bajaj as Madhu, and Alankrit Duggal as Vikas.
TVF Veteran Shivankit aces his part as Nikku, committed to portay the wide range of emotions with aplomb.Badri and Rahul Tewari amp up the thrills with their earnest performances.
Sixer will be enjoyed not only by the fans of cticket but also by outsider with little knowledge about the game.
