The Trial - Pyaar Kaanoon Dhokha Season 2 web series review

Director Umesh Bist (the good Pagglait (2021), Kaun (2021) and the dud Hero (2015) ensures that the soul of ‘The Trial - Pyaar Kaanoon Dhokha’ – the Indian adaptation of the popular international series ‘The Good Wife’ remains intact as in the second season a bit of politics gets mixed with the legal drama, family drama, morality issues, duty, responsibility, love, lust, lost, faith fate in an intriguing premise.

Noyonika is no longer vulnerable now, she is stronger than never before and she is making the right noises and fighting for what she feels is right both inside and outside of her house.

It will be interesting how the third season will shape up as there are some unexpected surprises and revelations which demand more elaborations.

Opens with a high dramatic note – the tense Rajeev is driving the car and a very worried Noyonika is by her daughter who is struggling to breathe. Setting the tone for an engaging roller coaster ride.

However, there are drawbacks which cannot be ignored – for example the rape and molestation case on the famous big shot by the massage girl after a good built-up end on a very timid note.
