OTT web series The Family Man Season 2 review

Life, death, morality, family, nation, happiness, right, wrong, guilt, anger, and the price of all a human and the humankind has to pay.

The Family Man season 1 was an enjoyable Indian espionage web series that smartly twined the family crises (responsibilities) of the protagonist Shrikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) as a father, husband with his duties as a Senior Agent and Analyst in T.A.S.C towards his organisation and the nation.

Dark humour, comment on relationships, the education system, the right to kill an individual in the name of ‘mission’, patriotisms and the importance of human values amidst this decaying system and putrid politics all around.

Raj Nidimoru, Krishna D.K. and Suparn Varma in the second season add some beautiful human touches to this espionage action drama that appeals to the pan India audience.

Have you ever been to Kashmir?" asks Sajid to Raji while driving to the Southern coast of Tamil Nadu. She says no and then shares "Kashmir is beautiful. I've heard even Sri Lanka is very beautiful?"

This ‘similarity’ between the two deadly most wanted terrorist and their admiration for ‘beauty’, the conversation which seems ‘normal’ for people around the globe, turns out to be a striking example of how the evil, the extremist mindset has brainwashed the good human from every human. What appears as a deadly merciless beast can be human and what seems to be a good-natured human can show horrifying evil menace.

Unpredictable, edgy and thoroughly engrossing yarn that adds more life and longevity to the already famous Indian espionage series.

The combat scenes are superbly shot. The jail sequence and the climax.

The emotional touches are the highlight – the brotherhood between Shrikant and JK.

The Milind (Sunny Hinduja) episode.

The Family Man Season 2 is a complete winner.
