Telugu cinema is on top of its game as it has given big hits in the month of August. Films like Karthikeya 2, Bimbisara, and Sita Ramam have turned out to be profitable ventures for the makers and were loved by the fans.

But Liger which was released on a massive note has failed to create any magic at the big screens. As per the trade pundits, the makers will lose close to 65 crores India wide. As such big films are not doing well, the concentration of the audience has shifted to old Telugu films now.

The latest trend in Telugu cinema is to re-release old cult classics of superstars on their birthdays. It all started with the fans of Mahesh Babu who released his hit film Pokkiri.

The film was released in multiple theaters and made big money as well in the two days it was run. Then, on the birthday of megastar Chiranjeevi, the star hero's biggest hit, Gharana Mogudu was also released to a huge fan mania.

Taking things to the next level, the fans of Pawan Kalyan have decided to re release his hit film Jalsa which was directed by Trivirkam. The action drama will be released on the 2nd September which happens to be Pawan Kalyan's birthday. Fans have made massive plans and the team is also set to attend the special shows.

Not only this film, but in the days to come, fans of big stars like Allu Arjun and Ram Charan have planned to re-release films on a big scale.

This trend has caught on well for the fans and industry insiders feels that it is a good idea to bring back old hits as many of the youth of this generation will get to witness the hype and hysteria once again.
