‘Border 2’ teaser - no one can beat the mighty Sunny paaji, as the jat roars “Himmat Hai To Aa, Ye Khada Hai Hindustan” its goosebumps with a deafening echo chorusing the passion and patriotism for Mother India aka Bharat Mata apna payara Hindustan.

‘Border 2’ teaser has arrived and must say it has reminded me of the 1997 ‘Border’ – the epic war action-drama film written, produced and directed by J. P. Dutta. Set during the India–Pakistan war of 1971 and based on the events of Battle of Longewala.

In ‘Border 2’ we see Sunny Deol’s trademark deafening roar as Lt Col Fateh Singh Kaler that adds power to the determination and grit of his men - Varun Dhawan (Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya), Diljit Dosanjh (Fg Offr Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon), Ahan Shetty (Cdr Joseph Pius Alfred Noronha).

Varun, Diljit and Ahan appear wounded and dangerous as they are ready to tear the enemy apart.

The 2-minute 5-second teaser reignites the passion for India in the hearts of the audience and Indians in general. Yes, it comes with some chest thumping patriotism but it works the way it should.  The background my John Stewart Eduri is awesome that’s pumps up the adrenaline rush!

It seems that director Anurag Singh (Punjab 1984, Super Singh, Kesari) is set to pay due respect to the legacy of JP Dutta’s 1997 epic war drama ‘Border’ that starred Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty in pivotal roles.

It seems from the teaser that Sunny Deol (there was no doubt on him), Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, and Ahaan Shetty will be able to carry the legacy on their able shoulders.

However, the visual effects are shockingly poor and not up to the mark and scale. The introduction of Varun Dhawan fighting on the battlefield, Ahan taking charge of his naval command, and Diljit taking on his fighter jet are all result of poor visual effects.

And the women folks – Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh, Medha Rana are just there for a glimpse.

But its Sunny Paaji’s deafening roar that almost overcomes all the poor visual effects ka shor and when he yells towards the end of the teaser, “Awaaz kahan tak jani chahiye? and his troop responds “Lahore tak”, the purpose is solved.
