Aamir Khan's new film 'Sitaare Zameen Par' trailer is out, the movie is a spiritual successor to Aamir Khan’s 2007 film ‘Taare Zameen Par’ and it’s based on the Spanish film Campeones (Champions – Eng) (2018) directed by Javier Fesser that starred Javier Gutiérrez.
'Sitaare Zameen Par' stars Aamir Khan in lead along with ten debutants - Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.
Genelia Deshmukh plays Aamir Khan’s love interest in the film. Directed by ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ (‘Kalyana Samayal Saadham’ – original) fame R.S. Prasanna, 'Sitaare Zameen Par' shows Aamir Khan as a basketball coach to a team of specially-abled children.
Carrying the tagline “Sabka Apna Apna Normal”, 'Sitaare Zameen Par' is said to be about inclusivity, acceptance, love, friendship, teamwork and never letting go.
Cineblues has done a detail review of the three-minute twenty-nine seconds trailer of ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ and come to his prediction whether Aamir Khan will emerge as winner this time after two huge back-to-back disappointments with ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ (2022) and Thugs of Hindostan (2018).
Unique concept: Trust Aamir Khan to bring something out of the box, something unique to the silver screen, yes 'Sitaare Zameen Par' is based on the lovely Spanish film Campeones (Champions – Eng) and ‘Taare Zameen Par’ do reminded me of the Iranian great Majid Majidi in shot takings - Mixing poster paint colours, grinning at gutter fish, sitting near the pond (well that’s a compliment I believe). From the trailer, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is a story of triumph – triumph of underdogs who are special and that makes it special.
Aamir Khan: Aamir Khan plays Gulshan a mannerless and arrogant coach exactly opposite to the loveable and compassionate Nikumbh from ‘Taare Zameen Par’ that makes it quite interesting and knowing the caliber of Aamir Khan as an actor (the best amongst the Khan trinity – Srk, Salman, Aamir) a delightful and memorable performance is expected.

The subject of ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is unique and the trailer shows glimpses of heart-warming emotions which may serve as another imp USP.
Ten new comers – element of surprise
'Sitaare Zameen Par' introduces ten debutants - Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. This can be a boon if the makers give them moments equally that can make the audience laugh and cry.

R.S. Prasanna is known for his quirks and ability to generate emotions that work with the general audience Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (Kalyana Samayal Saadham – original) is an example and from the trailer it seems that the concept gives him enough opportunities to explore his qualities to entertain and enlighten.

The three minutes twenty-nine seconds of trailer didn’t give much idea about the music though the background core by Ram Sampath is impactful
Aamir Khan
Ironically strange but true, Aamir Khan is a great actor but at times he was seen in that lost type wide eyes gazing mode seen prominently in ‘Ghajini’ (2008) and ‘Dhoom 3’ (2013) which unfortunately is not blending with his character.

With Plus points much much more than the minus points ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ from the trailer seems to be a winner and may bring the happy days at theatres again for the audience who strive for entertainment with some enlightenment. Positive word of mouth will play a big role and the movie will find success if it stays true to its trailer. Considering the budget which will be around twenty cores as its Aamir Khan’s own production and ten new comers, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is very likely to bring in good returns from major cities and metros.
