OMG 2 breaking : latest on its A certificate, Akshay Kumar role as Lord Shiva, the cuts by CBFC and modifications that will be done by the makers

OMG 2 is running under controversy and the latest we have at cineblues is that the movie has ben granted ‘A’ (adults only) certificate.

The cuts asked by CBFC

OMG written and directed by Amit Rai stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in key roles. We at cineblues have learnt from reliable sources that CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) has offered more than 20 cuts if they want U/A certificate.

Our reliable source reveals that the makers are not conformable in agreeing to the cuts saying that the cuts will hamper the essence of the movie reportedly based on sex education.

The source further adds that if the makers don’t agree to cuts and do certain imp modifications then OMG 2 will be released with ‘A’ certificate. For U/A the required cuts are necessary.

Akshay Kumar character

The CBFC Revising Committee which has given its final verdict regarding certificate etc has suggested to change the character of Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva to a messenger of Lord Shiva.

What will change

In the teaser which we saw a night scene shows Akshay Kumar sitting in the pose similar to the one which we worship as Lord Shiva with moon in the background and sprinkles of water (Maa Ganga) constantly flowing, that scene will be remodified and most probably the moon from background will not be seen.

OMG 2 trailer launch update

The trailer of OMG 2 will be launched directly without any event. The source says that the trailer will be launched soon in coming days.

The previous reports of OMG 2 getting U/A certificate

The previous reports of OMG 2 getting U/A certificate was for its trailer and not for the movie. Last evening a section of media in its enthusiasm carried the news with a title saying OMG 2 gets U/A certificate.

Anyways the truth about movie certificate cane out last night and this author tweeted about this development. Cineblues doesn,t believe in misleading its readers and giving half information.
